Civic Room, was the gallery component of Working Rooms. It opened in October 2009 at 50 Acton Mews, E8. The gallery hosted a total of 9 exhibitions, showcasing a variety of national and international contemporary artists. Our exhibitions aimed to profile established and emerging artists in a critical context, establishing ongoing collaborations with local and international arts organisations. We also held a series of events, including artist's talks, performances and film screenings.

Our first project space opened at 242-248 Kingsland Road in June 2008 and was closed in June 2009. We selected submissions from artists and curators and held a total of 11 projects. To view the exhibiton history of our project space, please click here
